Travis won his heat and finished 2nd in the feature!  The car and driver has been running great!

Rained out.

July 9th Travis won his heat and finished 2nd in the feature!  A very good night and just what we all needed after all the little hiccups we have been having.

July 16th Travis got 2nd in his heat and 5th in the feature.  Another good weekend!

No B-Mod races on July 2nd.

Travis managed a 4th in his heat with carb issues and a spark plug wire off.

In the feature he got 11th while still having carb issues.

Travis got a 2nd in his heat.  In the feature he was running very good in about 3rd-4th spot when D-Bag number 42 from out of town ran into his driver side back and gave him a flat tire.  Some choice words were exchanged after the race.  Travis’s DNF spot was 16th.

We got the ethanol burning 318 rebuilt this week for Travis after the motor crisis of the previous week.  He seems to like this motor better than the 360 and it has actually been a solid performing motor.  It started out as a if you build the damn thing I will try it.  The rest is history.

Travis ran good in his heat and finished 2nd.

He was running pretty good in the feature in about 3rd place.  On the restart some mother trucking idiot jumped the start and ran up into Travis and a pile up ensued.  Flat tire, some bent roll bars and the passenger frame rail was bent so bad we had to cut it off to load it in the trailer.  It sucks when he works on the car so much to get it running good and some idiot wrecks it.  It should be fixed up for this coming weekend though.  The crash ended his night obviously and put him in 15th position.  I will see if I can find some pics of the wrecked car.

What is Lou up to now you say?  Well his season is done and his car is now used as shade.  See below.

Bad and good night for the Wermter boys. Well, more bad than good.

Travis and Lou both took 3rd in their respective heats.  In the feature they both blew their motors up.  Lou blew the 340 up big time.  Cam, valves, pistons, huge hole in the block, ect.. Pieces were all over the track!  That placed him in 12th since a few others had went out ahead of him.

Travis’s 360 wasn’t as bad since he was able to finish a nice 4th place but his power kept going down and he was smoking in corners 3 and 4 every lap.  The driver of the car behind him said he got so much smoke he couldn’t see his hands on the steering wheel.  It looks like he broke one of his pistons and possibly bad rings on some others.

Races rained out on the 21st.

28th – Lou got 3rd in his heat and Travis had a DNF and finished 7th.  Transmisison issues.

In the feature Lou got 10th and Travis got 17th.
