The bad luck continues. Travis’s car look really good for a lap then there was a big back fire and it looked real bad but ended up being a wire that burned off the ignition system. He had to run the consi where he almost made another lap and the car would not shift so he pulled off. The good news is that next week has to be better.

June 7th was a bad luck night with many things gone wrong. Travis finished 7th in his heat and 5th in the consi so he did not make the feature.
June 14th Travis did good in his heat moving up to 3rd and making the feature but then a large amount of rain came and the night was cancelled and all races that were run were scratched since they didn’t make it to intermission.
June 16th and 17th was the Late Model specials with the B-Mods. This was a good opportunity to test some chassis changes on the car so we tried a few things. There were only 16 cars but Travis did ok in his heat though he wasn’t in the top 3 to make the fast dash which was all on the 16th. The 17th was the night of the qualifier for starting position and the feature. He did good in the qualifier finishing 3rd. We made another change to the car for the feature which seemed like it was going to work but didn’t get much of a chance because on turn 4 of the first lap someone in front got sideways and cars started to pile up and Travis got caught in it. The car needs a bunch of work and it probably would not be so bad but one of the other guys seemed to keep his foot on the gas and drove it harder into him. Can’t wait until this weekend to see how the car runs.

Travis started 6th in the heat and finished 3rd. He started 10th in the feature but due to a crash in front of him that he got sucked into out of his control and wrecked his front end he left the race and ended up 17th. This was the first night running a 318 using ethanol. Yet to be determined if the 318 is going to work.
